Ceiling Fan Installationin Columbus & Central Ohio
Installing a new ceiling fan at a suitable existing location — assembled and mounted the way the manufacturer intended, with the mounting support verified first. Family-owned, 30 years of hands-on experience.
What's Included
Everything from assembly to your walkthrough
An installation is more than hanging a fan from a ceiling. The parts that matter are the ones you would not notice unless they were wrong — the support behind the ceiling, the quality of the mount, whether the fan runs true.
This is the work we do most, across every community we serve.
- Fan assembly and mounting at the location you choose
- Mounting support matched to the fan's weight and movement
- Wiring to the existing supply at that location
- Downrod sizing where the ceiling height calls for it
- Fan and light operation checked before we leave
- Compatible remote setup and a walkthrough of your controls

Good To Know
What changes the scope
These are the things we check, and the ones that most often affect what a project involves.
Ceiling box support
A location that already has a fan-rated box is straightforward. One that does not needs the support addressed first. This is the most common variable.
Ceiling height
Standard flat ceilings usually take a low-profile mount. Vaulted and two-story ceilings generally need a downrod sized to bring the fan to working height.
Existing conditions
Wiring that has been extended or modified over the years may need attention. Manufacturer requirements and access to the location matter too.

Installation Questions
Ceiling fan questions from Installation homeowners
What does a ceiling fan installation include?
Assembly of the fan, mounting it at your chosen location with support matched to the fan's weight and movement, wiring it to the existing supply at that location, and checking that the fan and any light work correctly. If the fan came with a compatible remote, we set that up and walk you through the controls before we leave.
Can you install a fan anywhere on my ceiling?
At a suitable existing location, yes. The qualification matters: the location needs a ceiling box rated for a fan, and wiring already present. If a box is not fan-rated, the support has to be addressed first. If there is no wiring at that spot at all, that is a different project requiring new wiring — and we will tell you plainly rather than starting work we cannot finish properly.
How long does installation take?
It varies with the fan and the location more than anything else. A straightforward fan at a location that is already prepared takes considerably less time than one requiring assembly, a downrod calculation, or support work. That is part of what we assess when quoting.
Do you install fans on vaulted or high ceilings?
Yes, and it is a common Central Ohio job — particularly in Dublin, Powell, and New Albany. Tall ceilings generally call for a downrod so the fan sits at a height where it actually circulates air, rather than spinning uselessly near the peak. We calculate the drop length from your ceiling height.
Do you install fans on covered porches?
Yes, where the fan is rated for the location. Outdoor and damp-rated fans are built for covered outdoor use; an indoor-only fan is not, regardless of whether it is sheltered. Tell us the fan's model and we can confirm it suits the space.
